Former Oklahoma Lawmaker Helping Consumer Legal Funding

The Alliance for Responsible Consumer Legal Funding (ARC) is an organization dedicated to the proper regulation of consumer legal funding, so victims of personal injury can get the funds they need. Now a former Oklahoma lawmaker is helping consumer legal funding reach out and help more plaintiffs by joining this association.

Former Oklahoma state Sen. Rob Johnson has taken the position of Executive Director at ARC. He will be in charge of daily operations and will steer the alliance into the future. As a senator, Johnson held his office for eight years, penned comprehensive lawsuit reforms, and served as the majority whip in the Oklahoma state legislature. He also helped maintain fair access to the legal system so lower income individuals could get the legal help they needed.

“Consumer legal funding provides a vital lifeline to many hardworking Americans whose lives have been disrupted by an injury,” says Johnson. “And regulations will ensure that the industry can continue to serve as a bridge to fair recoveries for these consumers.”

Helping the victims of personal injury is the goal of consumer legal funding. At Beacon, we can provide up to $50,000 to help victims pay bills, get medical treatment, and pay their rent while waiting for the resolution of their case. This money is a settlement advance, not a loan, so you only have to pay it back if your case receives a favorable settlement or verdict.
